Jewellery vs Jewelry

Which one is correct?

If you were ever wondering if you should search jewellery or jewelry when you want to buy online, you should know that as a matter of fact, both are correct.

The main difference is that Jewellery is how it is spelled in the UK, Australia and New Zealand. While Jewelry is how you would spell it for American english. The spelling difference is also seen in Jeweler (American) and Jeweller (UK), as well as in Jewled vs Jewelled. In the case of Jewel, this is always spelled the same, in both British and American english.

For our Love, Nena brand we have chosen to spell it as “jewellery” because we are located in Amsterdam and we have more proximity with the UK. Just a personal choice that wasn’t difficult to make.

Love,

Nena
